How to Access Online Training

Recorded webinars

Each course includes unlimited and ongoing playback of the recorded webinar, a handout, an online test and a CE certificate for your entire team. To access recorded courses, log into our eLearning system. Each hospital has a Training Group with employees’ individual emails. A shared email may not be used for CE credit because the first person who takes the test will satisfy it, and then others may not access the test after him or her.

Here are technical instructions for recorded webinars:

  1. Login with your email and password. The first time you log in, use the password of csvets. Then you will be prompted to change your password. See instructions below to add or remove employees in your Training Group.
  2. Access the course. Go to the "My Training" tab and highlight the course. Go to the far right, where you will see an icon that says "Open." Click to open the curriculum.
  3. Choose items in the course. Inside the curriculum, you will see the recorded webinar, handout, test and CE certificate.
  4. Download or print the handout. Each course has detailed notes, which is a PDF that may be opened in Adobe Reader.
  5. Watch the webinar. Each course is one hour. To watch to a recorded webinar, you will need a computer with Internet access, Adobe Flash Player and computer speakers. Your computer will prompt you to download or update Flash Player if needed. Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets cannot play recorded webinars because they do not support Flash Player. When you open the webinar, you may resize the window to fit your computer screen. Once you’ve watched the webinar, close the webinar window to unlock the test.
  6. Take the test. The test will be locked until you have watched the webinar, which is a prerequisite per RACE CE rules. Open the test and read the instruction slide. Click play to begin the test. You will answer 10 multiple choice and true-or-false questions. A passing score of 70% or higher is required. Once you pass, close the test window and the CE certificate will unlock. If you watch a webinar as a group, you will need to log in with your email and password to take an online test in order to earn CE credit. If you’ve already watched the training, let the webinar play for a few seconds and then close the window, which will satisfy this prerequisite.
  7. Get your CE certificate. Once you have watched the webinar and passed the test, the CE certificate will unlock. Download or print the CE certificate. You may access a replacement CE certificate anytime in the eLearning system after completing a course.

How to add or remove employees in your hospital’s Training Group

When your hospital buys a webinar, we enroll your training contact with his or her name and email as a learner in your Training Group. If you need us to add or remove employees in your Training Group, use our online form to provide their names and emails. Once your employees have been added to your Training Group, they will receive an email with login instructions.

Live webinars

Each month, Wendy S. Myers presents a new webinar, which will be recorded. You will receive email reminders about upcoming training, and the handout will be sent in advance. Here are technical instructions for live meetings:

  1. Run a test. Check the computer or mobile device where you will access the live meeting at http://csvets.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm.
  2. Open the link for the live meeting. If you bought an upcoming webinar, your hospital’s training contact will receive an email with links to live meetings. Use the specific URL for the live meeting. Your team may log in on multiple computers. You will not log into the eLearning system.
  3. Audio and video will be broadcast on your device. You will need a computer or mobile device with Internet access and speakers to listen to the audio. There is not a dial-in phone number. If you’re using a tablet or smartphone to watch live meetings, download Adobe Connect Mobile for iOS, which is free in the App Store.
  4. Login 15 minutes before the live meeting starts. Wendy will welcome participants and provide learning tips before each session begins, so you may test your audio and video and know how to access resources. Enter the meeting room as a Guest and type your hospital’s name so we may track CE attendance.
  5. Be interactive. Ask Wendy questions during live meetings using the chat feature in the webinar.
  6. Watch again. Live meetings are recorded and are available with unlimited and ongoing playback the following day.
